Dlivrd Earnings Calculator

Does your Dlivrd route pay enough per hour after all costs?

What This Does

Dlivrd is a last-mile delivery platform that pays drivers per stop on residential and commercial delivery routes. The per-stop model is fundamentally different from per-order gig delivery β€” your income depends on route density (stops per mile) more than per-stop pay rate. A $2.00/stop rate on a 30-stop route in a compact area pays better per hour than a $2.50/stop route spread over 60 miles. Route delivery has predictable economics once you know your route structure. Unlike on-demand gig delivery where income varies day to day, Dlivrd routes are scheduled in advance β€” you know your expected earnings before you start. This predictability is a significant advantage for income planning. The primary cost driver for route delivery is vehicle mileage. Routes require driving to the route start, completing the full route, and returning β€” all mileage that generates fuel, depreciation, and maintenance costs. High-density routes where stops are close together minimize the per-stop vehicle cost. Long, spread-out routes erode the per-stop economics significantly. This calculator models all route economics: per-stop pay, route bonuses, vehicle costs per mile, fixed overhead, and full tax burden.

When Should You Use This?
  • β†’Evaluating whether a Dlivrd route offer is worth accepting based on stop count and distance
  • β†’Comparing real hourly between different route offers before committing
  • β†’Understanding how stop density affects your effective hourly rate
  • β†’Deciding how many routes per week maximizes income without excessive vehicle wear
  • β†’Tax planning β€” tracking deductible route mileage and equipment expenses
Example Scenario

Kevin runs 5 Dlivrd routes per week, each with 20 stops at $2.00/stop plus a $5 route completion bonus. Routes average 40 miles and 3.5 hours. After fuel, depreciation, maintenance, insurance, and SE and income tax, his real hourly is $14.80. His route earnings would improve to $18.40/hr if he could secure routes with 30 stops in the same area β€” stop density is his primary leverage point.

About This Calculator

This Dlivrd earnings calculator computes real take-home hourly in real time across 14 inputs. Earnings/route = (stops Γ— pay/stop) + bonus. Gross = earnings/route Γ— routes/week Γ— weeks/year. Vehicle costs = (fuel + depreciation + maintenance) per mile Γ— total annual miles + (insurance + phone + equipment) Γ— 12. SE tax = net Γ— 0.9235 Γ— 0.153. Income tax = (net - SE/2) Γ— rate. Net after tax = net - SE - income tax. Real hourly = net / (hours/route Γ— routes/week Γ— weeks/year). IRS deduction = miles Γ— $0.67 (2024 rate). Score: real hourly (35pts), stops/route (25pts), pay/stop (20pts), route distance (20pts). Tiers: High-Efficiency (80+), Strong (60+), Moderate (40+), Below Standard.

The Breakdown tab renders a donut PieChart (net take-home, taxes, fuel, depreciation, maintenance, fixed costs) with a legend showing each segment's name, percentage, and dollar amount, plus a stacked BarChart of annual vehicle costs by route volume across 6 volume scenarios. The Volume tab renders a BarChart of annual net income at 6 route volume levels (current highlighted in accent, others at 60% indigo opacity, LabelList dollar labels), then a LineChart of real hourly across volumes with $20/hr target and $12/hr minimum ReferenceLine thresholds, followed by a volume scenario table. The Stops tab is the signature chart: a LineChart showing real hourly rate and earnings/route vs stop count simultaneously (two lines β€” real hourly in accent, earnings/route as dashed indigo), then a BarChart of earnings per route by stop count (current highlighted), then a stop count table with vs-current comparison column. The Insights tab shows 4 insights (full P&L summary, per-route economics with stop density math, tax advantage with IRS deduction, volume leverage) and 4 conditional What To Do Next steps.
